Variety AFM preview, October 2011



These pages were done as part of the preview section leading up to the AFM (American Film Market) held in Santa Monica each year. Both pages showcase some conceptual design; the front page plays off the theme of the lead story, which discusses how a name can impact a film's marketing and/or chances of being picked up by a sales agent or distributor. The interior piece illustrates the divide between a group of French sales companies and the festival executives. These pages were designed in InDesign utilizing Illustrator and Photoshop. I originated the concept for the illustrations and discussed them with the section editors, then created them with stock illustrations manipulated in Photoshop.
